"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." — Thomas Jefferson
It is not enough to be fiscally conservative. Idaho lawmakers need to be actively working to phase out federal money and influence in our state.
I am a long-time volunteer political activist spending much of my time, energy, and resources effecting change in Idaho laws. It is imperative that Idaho citizens be educated and involved in all aspects of the policy-making that impacts our lives. I have spent a considerable amount of time in the Idaho House and Senate educating our Legislators on issues important to the people. Our lawmakers need to hear much more from the constituents than the lobbyists or unelected bureaucrats.
I am disgusted at the fact that many of our current Legislators are so easily bought. They are willing to disregard freedom, disrespect their constituents, disobey their duties, and ignore their oath in order to gain favor from outside influences and for their own pleasure and financial gain. This behavior is abhorrent and I hope that the people will use the election process to speak loudly about their disgust with this problem as well. These kind of people do not belong in Idaho’s capitol. They are representing themselves, not the people of their district.
I am not running for Senate for money, for the title, for gifts or favors. I am running for Senate because our Republic is hurting terribly. We desperately need good and honest, strong, liberty-minded Conservatives to save our country from special interests, from greed, and from selfish people that claim to represent others, but really only represent themselves. I have been a voice of the people as an activist and now I would like to be a stronger voice of the people as their Senator.
